Hey everyone, I'm about 4 weeks in and using a spiderfarm 2000 that I keep on 24 hours in a closet grow. Using advance nutrients micro, grow, bloom (4 mL per liter each) Temps stay around 80F and 40% humidity I move the plants around every couple of days. Questions: Theres little fruit fly sized bugs, what can I do about these? The medium is a 4:1 soil and it takes a while to dry out. Is it ok if I'm watering every 4-5 days?
I've uploaded about 4 weeks of pictures https://imgur.com/a/lsnLU2 Anything help is greatly appreciated thank you
Hey everyone I've linked an imgur album with an update to the remaining plants. https://imgur.com/a/uCZ0R7a I started with 8 seeds in April and have 1 outdoor left and 3 indoor. The rest were males and were disposed of immediately. I believe I'm doing various things wrong because I'm seeing CalMag deficiency I believe and the leaves are tiny and not growing any big wide leaves anymore. I think I overtrimmed them. Is there anything I should be doing to curb the mistakes I made during this stage? Things I've done well I feel I have made good sections for future kolas? Also kept them tied down and none have surpassed 1.5 feet long which I think this ideal for indoor? Thanks again
Congratulations its a boy lol. Jk, if you let them go much longer then they will spring open and throw pollen out.
Hey everyone thanks for the help! Quick update. The gnats are almost completely gone and I'm going to grow in a different medium next time. I've also spotted what I think are 3 males that were growing. My question is why on the bottom 4 nodes are there no "nut sacs" but on the fresh newly topped ones it looks like a huge site of seeds/sacs.
Also these were the most male or hermi looking plants I could find so I've removed them from the site. Am I correct assuming these are male and will these have polinated the other ones? Thanks again for the help!
Diatomaceous earth can help with the fungus gnats, works well for me.
Hey thank you for replying! I'll follow that guide as well. I haven't seen them today after applying a few methods the last couple days. The other thing I realized I never did was TOP them :/ So I did that yesterday and I hope it's not too late since they are a month in to veg. Also I haven't pruned at all either so I'm going to do that today. I'm reading through all the guides on here though. Thanks for your help
I never dry it out. It's a soil mix 4:1 I believe. I can upload more pictures today. I'm routinely cleaning out the closet and its sealed off. TY
What you're explaining sounds like fungus gnats. Are you in soil or coco coir? Do you let the medium dry out at all or do you always keep it moist by watering on the 4-5 day schedule?
