@Nerster Da Don You can, yes. Some people run only the Veg switch in Veg in order to conserve energy and/or to attempt to get tighter node spacing with the amount of blue the grow light emits. But you can absolutely have both switches on for the entire grow.
you won't change the light cycle. that's the thing about autos they flower on age not light cycle change. keep them under an 18/6 schedule the whole time.

You can actually flip on the bloom switch whenever. Cannabis does like a full spectrum of light.
