as the title reads, im on day 120 since sprout....which i never thought would happen, but here we are. trichomes are barely cloudy if at all, but im starting to see amber...i know the sugar trim goes amber first, but im only looking at actual buds....the strain is wedding cake. the thing is, i know what cloudy looks like bc this isnt my first grow, this is just the first time its sort of bypassed the cloudy stage and im just wondering what everyones thoughts are?

i personally don't always see amber . don't know if they would if i let them go longer just go with your gut .
i dont have a way to get a good pic, unfortunately. i was reading that some strains dont show a ton of amber, anyone ever experienced that?

most autos i've had begin to switch to flower around 5 weeks . your at 17 weeks so i would think your close with an average of 8-10 weeks flower time.
That seems awfully long for an auto, but then again I have had a few run over 100. You don't necessarily have to wait for more ambers, a rule of thumb is more cloudy equals a more heady, uppity high and more ambers equal more of a couchlock high. Hope this helps. Good Growing.
