Hey guys, Newbie here thanks for your input. it’s seems like the more I read about lighting the more confusing it gets. I’m currently In the middle of flowering of my first indoor grow. I wasn’t sure how serious I was So I started fairly cheep. but now im ready to upgrade some equipment. I’m looking at lights and I kept going back to the Mars Hydro TSW 2000. I appreciate your input. Tks.

i run the tsw2000 and its great light plants love it . its for 3.5x3.5 for flower but judjying from the power that it has i think it will be ok for a 4x4 . i run it on a 3x3x2 and i have never managed to go over the 75% mark on the dimmer . so if money is an issue in my opinion it will be ok for a 4x4 . but look more about it cause im also a beginner . hope i helped you
budget, no more than $650 - a $700 range. ( any more then that and the light should also water the plants for you!) I guess what I’m seeing is:
Mars hydro TSW 2000. Spyder Farmer SF 4000
Advertised 4 x 4 5 x 5 coverage
fine print
coverage
Veg. 4 x 4. 6 x 6
Flower. 3.5 x 3.5. 5 x 5
Power. 300w. 450W
cost. $270. $559
so the Mars is not giving adequate coverage during flowering (3.5 x 3.5 coverage in a 4 x 4)
and the Spyder is a bit of over kill for a 4 x 4 and draws 1 and 1/2 times the power. . I guess the bottom line would be quality and yield. Is the Spyder worth it?
Mars Hydro TSW 2000
you havent told us which mars hydro are you after? and no . double price doesnt mean double the perf. the spider farmer has samsung top leds which are also a bit more efficient.
Yes, the first few in that article are a bit pricy for me, the Mars and Spyder lights are more in my range. But is the Spyder twice as good? because it’s twice the price .
have you checked the article here about the best lights for 2020?

Or a spider farmer SF 4000? The price goes from $270.00 (Mars Hydro) to $560.00. Is it worth the cost difference? Help me out light geeks!
