Hello, I am a first time grower & have just about everything for a light. Im looking at LEDs, but if there’s a better alternative you recommend for a 5x5 tent I’m all ears. Budget isnt really a concern, I’m trying to be one and done with the light.. hence my hesitation in purchasing one. All feedback and information is much appreciated !

WOW ! I did not expect all this love. Especially from the man himself ! Read your book 3 times already, really great stuff ! I’m ready to drop up to 2-2.5k on lighting alone. Will definitely do my research, thanks a bunch guys !
minunez, If you want uniformed growth, I say, go with the best: Fluence Spydr series, Gavita Pro or Raging Kush.
More bang for your buck, Id go with the HLG 650R.
Personally, for my 5x5 i will go with HLG 600R, because of the price and I think it delivers enough par for my tent without CO2. Ill probably have short to mid sized plants. hope it helps
I just recently upgraded to a 5x5, i am running a HLG 600 R-Spec on a light rail and also have a HLG 300L R-Spec in there also

Like Brandon said the Electric Sky ES 300 V3 just released. Just got both of my packages and they are banging.
The green sunshine company has excellent warranties and these lights are the best of the best, imo.
The best light for you is the best light you can manage in your budget. Start with blurple if you must, and you work your way up as you want to tweak your environment.
Appreciate the input ! These are the lights I came across so far ROI-E680, Maxsisun PB 4000, Mars Hydro TS-3000, Spider Farmer SF-4000 &HLG 650R. Lots and lots of stuff out there, definitely a tad overwhelming !
I use an Electric sky 300 V2 and they also have the V3 that will be available this month
Tried to get a Mars Hydro 4800 but couldn't get one in less than three wks so I bit the bullet and bought a PanthrX II 600w. I love it but I really need to invest in the dimmer. Very efficient, very nice light.
HPS would be my second choice. However be ready to deal with heat and increased energy costs.
Most don't know this, but most of the cultivars that are available now were bred under HPS lights so that is generally what they will do best under. It's our job as growers to find what best works in our micro climates. . .
good luck fren
