Hi!!New to the site. I have a 4x8 grow tent.I can only afford, now, a single light.Can I partition 1/2 the tent?Any thoughts on the bestlight to service a 4x4 area? I am open to all thoughts. Thank you all

Yes you can partition your tent into whatever sections are workable to you. What’s your budget for lighting? I use Viparspectra lights and they have basically a Good, Better, Best price point which would probably work.
