I did about 10% defoliation and am transitioning from Calmag to magsulpher.
I've done a mainline style training and have 18 strong, healthy tops with bud sites and good nodal spacing in the 6 to 8 inches below the top.
Does the bud form and continue to grow up or do those lower sites grow together to create the cola up and down the stalks?
And, in reference to that, I have lollipopped these stalks pretty thoroughly but there are a couple of little 2 1/2 inch shoots with a little bud forming on the top. These are happening about 8 inches below the top.
Do these need to be trimmed away now?

Looking good so far. I also wouldn't remove anymore. Hard to tell you how growth will happen. You'll be able to see it for yourself soon enough :)

Nice job! I don't think I would remove any more leaves than you have.
Those little buds on the bottom can stay if they are getting light, but I would probably remove some of the lowest ones.
The top buds will keep getting taller and the lower buds will bulk up and may grow into a solid cola. Or you will have a bunch of individual buds below a large top bud, 6 of one half a dozen of the other. Depends on the strain and how it's grown, but I think you are going to end with some nice tight impressive colas by the looks of those girls.
Those are some great looking plants! Can't wait to see them in full flower.
