What's the best way to treat calcium lockout or deficiency? My tap water is really soft and around 140 PPM. By the way, I'm using synthetic nutrients (Fox Farm). Plants are currently vegging in 5 gallon fabric containers with FF Ocean Forest and FF Strawberry Fields in the bottom 1/3 of container. They are on a feed/feed/water schedule. Typical feeding:
3.0 gallons tap
6 ml silica
90 ml FF big bloom
30 ml FF grow big
6 ml cal-mag
PPM 890
PH 6.4
On water only day add Recharge @ 1/2 tsp per gallon of water.
By the way, fantastic interview with Mark Boutwell on Garden Talk with Mr. Grow It podcast!
Thanks Growmies for your feedback!
I wrote a whole article on calcium deficiency which most likely answers your questions. See here: https://www.mrgrowit.com/post/calcium-deficiency-in-cannabis-plants
Are you certain it's a calcium deficiency? You can check the runoff pH to get an idea of what the pH levels are at.
Also, are you feeding both grow and bloom during veg? If so it might have something to do with that.
