What I mean by this is are you going to let your plants grow out?
Are you going to Scrog? Are you going for a Sog?
These are simple techniques that every grower should know about.
I have all photo plants and one scrogged, one full natural, and three I attempted a scrog on (they weren't having it). If you see the picks you would have a hard time picking them out.
Fiming is difficult to learn
Topping is not hard to learn, but understand that different plants will have different reactions (their will be a learning curve every plant).
I use the attitude I learned with indeterminate tomatoes. The more you removed low down (if done correctly) the bigger the increase in upward growth. However you can't remove so much that the plant can not do the photoy thing that for some reason I can't spell . .
Also if started too early you could stunt the plant so start conservitive and find the happy middle ground.
You should have your RH dialed in because you can figure the best amount of leaf surface (but still catches light) so the plant can breathe. The more that plant can exhale O2 and H2O the faster it will grow (provided there are periods of darkness((you can research that debate on your own)).
Read all the stuff you can get your mitts on and dig in!!
Depends on what your goal is . . .
