Sorry if this is such a novice question but I need to ask. So I’m prepping my soil with earths dust for my indoor grow. I used the mix that they say you should top dress 2 weeks before transplanting and keep wet. I even gave it a little molasses to feed on. what I’m wondering is should I have my light on? Or keep it in the dark? Lol….I feel dumb even asking this but really couldn’t find anything googling it.

Yes exactly Chris, thank you. Yeah just getting soil ready before I transplant from solo cups.
By top dress, you mean amend? Like mixing the nutrients into the soil and then letting it sit before you put into grow pots and planting seeds? If so, then no light is needed. Darkness is great.
