Your plants look amazing, good job! I top all of my autos and seem to have better yield. I think 2 nice thick medium buds is better than the 1 christmas tree cola. Just my experience.
Are you referring to topping the plant in the pictures?
As a general rule, it’s risky to perf any type of high stress training to an auto flowering variety. Try sticking with LST and (if you have to) some selective leaf removal
