Sup community,
So let's get right to it. I like to protect the crap outta my marijuana plants.
So my setup ahead of time has to be controlled for pests. My area has a crap ton of fungus gnats that I'm guessing are being bred somewhere close by. So to take measure ahead of time this is how I setup my pots.
*I'm gonna have a video on this soon on my channel* but I'll share here
I take a 3 gallon pot
Take 1 compostable plate. Line it all the way in the bottom so no crack or crevasses.
I pour 1 inch layer of sand.
Then I take the soil pour that in
Then I transplant the plant into container after that I top soil using 1 inch or 2 inches of fan to retain moisture and dry out the top quick so gnats can't make it their home.
IT WORKS, but you have to gently water each time.
So which brings me to my question.
If I have 2 inches of sand and I have soil in there too. I was measuring my run off and noticed that it was really acidic. I wonder if it's all the build up down there from salts from sand it measured about 4.5 run off.
I fed it ph'd water at 6.1 (since it goes up a bit in there) the fun off was measuring to about 5.1/5.2
So what I'm saying is, should I keep in mind the run off of my ph? or disregard/readjust for sand?
What are your thoughts?
Orale! indeed it did. Took a few days to fully get there, but yeah almost gonna trim and flip to flower :) thanks for all the help man didn't expect you to answer either lol Here's a more recent pic 👀
