I have tried every method I can find. Directly in soil seems to work the best. I want to set up a RDWC system but I am only having about 50% germination rate. Beans are from seedsman. Please bounce some questions off me to see what I might be doing wrong? Common mistakes or tips and tricks.

@Randj UPDATE 2 of 2 on "Let It Float" Thank you so much. Both seedling are doing great !!!
I agree with @Randj ... Your best bet may be to just "let it float".. That way you can clearly see when it cracks open and the root appears without transferring it to a paper towel which leaves greater room for error. You'll probably then want to put it in either a rockwool cube or root riot and let the roots develop prior to putting in your DWC system. Some seedlings just don't do well in DWC and you'd have better chances of survival if the plant has a decent root zone first.
I have had a lot of problems germinating.i have almost 100% success rate by simply leaving seed in water until I see a white bit of tail.they say until it sinks but this was not a good method for me.try it with one seed I bet it germinates.then put in soil and barely cover with soil tail down of course.
