I’m getting ready to jump in and do my first indoor grow. I will be Using a 4’x4x8’ grow tent. I’m undecided on whether I should get Vivosun vs1000 which covers 4’x4’ or should get 2 maxsisun that covers 2’x2’ Any recommendations .......

The VS1000 coverage area is overstated imo. I would run it in a 2'x2' max. Since you have a 4x4 grow tent, you're better off getting two lights with a flowering coverage area of 2x4 imo. That way if the plants are different heights you have more flexibility than if you just ran one light. Also, often times the light spread across the footprint will be better too.
