Hey gents I am moving, and will be tearing down my closet grow within the next 3 months. The new house I just got is small on bedroom space, but has a huge 2 car garage. I am thinking of framing a room in one of the garage door slots, or simply laying out Panda Film ALL over the garage, but that has me worried about bugs getting in.
I don't WANT to build a custom room within the garage for growing, but I will if it's the best bet. I was wondering if anyone here has tried growing in the garage and what the biggest issues would be. This garage is insulated, drywalled and sealed and has an HVAC so temp control wont be a huge issue. I am on the East Coast and in South Carolina where heat in the summer hits 100 degrees and humidity also slaps you in the face. Any info would be great. Love this community, and each and every one of you. Keep it green and have fun!
I do have a Gorilla Grow tent 4x4 but I don't want to be restricted on small plants. I wanna be able to branch the girls out and let them thrive! I think a sealed grow room that I build is my best bet, but I'm hoping someone has an idea/suggestion so I don't have to do all of that.
I only have 2 ES 300's and MIGHT double down for 4 of them, but that covers just a 4x8 according to green sunshine company layout. I'm thinking 8x12 but my budget on those lights is not so grand lol. Might have to go with the 4x8 and maybe grab 1 more es300 for the 4x4 and use that for veg. It'd be weak, but affordable-ish
Biggest concern will be how to differentiate the humidity levels between the two tents when it's in a garage. I will be "sealing" the garage doors and not using them at all for in/out. I will have a shed in the rear of the house for house maintenance.
Thank you everyone for chiming in and tossing ideas. I had a year + to plan my closet grow and have less than 3 months to plan this, and I over think. So I appreciate all the angles/insight everyone is giving me. Mad <3 for everyone and keep on growing!
