Hi mate wondered if could pick your Brian on something noticed you grow organic Iv just recently switched to led and organic amendments in soil and I’m using or have used worm castings in the soil should I still use bottled cal mag as read when using leds the girls will use more of that or need more of that. They look healthy enough just noticed when defoliating some of the old lower original leaves couple had a browning on the tip or colourations to it I can take pics if wana see just wondering if that’s coz the old leaves or that it needs cal mag only just had first load of amendments last Sunday so perhaps that’s not quite worked down yet either ph has been 6.4/6.5 everytime I have watered them. Can add any pics if needed also.
any help with keeping humidity down more so at night too have a dehumidifier but doesn’t seem to actually make a difference it works as I have to empty it. ok at minute as I’m veg but when go to flower don’t want to be above 55 really. I have a 4x4 tent 4” intake 6” exhaust another just loose bit of ducting for some extra passive and vents on bottom open bit too still can go to 65 67 sometimes more. live on coast so i no this is why low temps and high humidity's
In my experience, using organic dry amendments, you do not need calmag while using worm castings. I use african night crawler worm castings as they're a little more packed with NPK nutrients. You do need to top dress more worm castings almost every single feed both for veg and flower, which should be once every 3 weeks roughly in an organic dry nutrient run.
I would suggest testing PH of run-off to make sure you are in that 6.5-6.8 sweet spot. I do coco, so I needed a PH soil tester. Being that you're in soil, runoff should be a non-issue for you.
I also am coastal and battle high humidity levels.. You are correct hitting flower you really don't want to exceed 55% RH. Upgrade your dehumidifier is all I can suggest not knowing what equipment you are running. Maybe purchase a second dehumidifier. Go to Amazon and google commercial dehumidifiers you'd be surprised the square footage they cover and aren't THAT expensive, all the while lasting for years. We pull so much moisture from the air bigger really is better. Look at tapping into a downspout for a no-touch drainage option on the dehum. Depends on how handy you are bro. Tons of ways to go about it
