@stephensonda Freaked me out the first time I saw it too. It was a cool learning experience because I went on to learn about Fungi and soildfoodweb. If you are curious it is a really interesting topic! Your plants look great by the way!
If you have milky run-off it doesn't sound like Trichoderma at all. Trichoderma is basically very light white fuzz on the top of the coco. You can miss it unless you're really paying attention. If you have milky run-off you might have a serious problem. Might want to ask @Mr. Grow It for his analysis. But again, he will want more information and a better pic to help you.
Please upload some pics in normal lighting so we can see the extent of the "mold".
What are your temperature readings and humidity at? What nutrients are you using with your coco? All coco or half coco and half peat? Help us out with some information please.
It could be trichoderma. I don't have a good reference for this offhand, but I had the same thing happen to my grow and looked into it a couple months ago. Trichoderma occurs naturally in coco coir, and it's harmless, or arguably beneficial, because it out-competes other bad things. Some beneficial culture blends like Great White intentionally add it.
It's nicknamed "Santa's beard" and just means you have very happy microbes.
@Creager thanks for replying. I scooped out the top inch of the container so unfortunately I can’t get the picture yet. the canopy temp has been 25C but the tent is more like 28. The humidity has jumped above 65% on and off the last few weeks (I’ve tried to keep it Around 55-60. I did notice a few days ago some milky scum in my drainage.
mycelium?
