New grower
Can someone explain to me when to use hot soil my plants are about a week old since germination now and i have them in solo cups. my order came with ocean forest soil and california hot soil, should i wait to introduce hot soil until flower or place it in the bottom of the 5 gal pots when i transplant. does it make a big difference? would you buy/use hot soil?
2nd question, can i switch to a different light during flower (when i change to 12/12) from mars hyrdro tls2000 to blurple led 600w. or will this confuse the plant. i have 4 plants now since one didnt make germination, 2x4 grow tent. so i plan on keeping the 4 together until time to flower so i don't use 2 tents, lights, fans, and extra electricity, but for flower i would like to get the most out of my plants so id like to put one in a 2x2 and the other 3 stay in the 2x4 but i dont want to shock it in a negative way by using a different style light.
I just looked up the soil you are talking about. They actually have instructions for use on their website. "We recommend 1 pound of CaliHotSoil per gallon of your container. Using a 5-gallon pot? Use 5 pounds of soil." Yes, you can change grow lights during the grow if you'd like.
