How can I prevent green mold in my roots and pots? I use 1 quart to 2 1/2 plastic quart containers. I have a good management at minimizing this, except for Midwest Summers. I use Fox farms, General Organics CalMag and Armor Si at normal dose. Plus molasses on watering days. Ocean Forest soil. Should I use a better Silica?

I know exactly what your problem is 😕 ... What you're referring to as "green mold" is actually algae. Wet media + light causes algae to grow just as you show. The problem is you are using white containers and light is going through the containers - therefore allowing the algae to grow. Never use clear or white containers like that. I think most people use black containers or brown containers. Once you switch containers you should be good 🙂
Not all my plants get affected just a select few. Not a lot of green mold appears from my grows. I believe, I am taking all steps to prevent this, but occasionally it happens.
This is from seedlings or clones 1 quart. (Starting to get fast rooting for bigger containers) 2 1/2 quart are for second veg/bloom plants. Water every other day. I have had to add a small amount of water to a saucer for a few weeks because of needing water. Which may have started some root mold, but, I encountered some green mold when I didn't need to add water. I don't believe I am over feeding, but I think I will stop molasses around week 9 from now on. Week 4, I may start some cheap molasses.
Hi, those pot sizes are pretty small, how long are you keeping them in these pots? And how often and how much do you water them?
Just off the top of my head I would guess you need to water them less, and maybe cut out the molasses.
I hear the Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil is pretty rich and you should not need to add anything other than CalMag for the first 30 days or so. Are you over feeding maybe?
Plus temperature 77-80 and humidity 40-50%
