Hello, I got a growing tent and the grow light TS1000 from Mars Hydro. This light contains a "switch" or a diming knob. I want to grow in my basement where it is always 16 degrees celsius and a humidity from 75-80%. I want that my plants (Afghan strain) have enough light and that it is warm enough. The light makes it a little bit warmer but only on the highest setting and I dont know if that is to much light. Can the plants even grow when its only 16 degrees when the light is of and with this humidity level? I checked the temperature without plants and lights on and its 21 degrees with the lights on and only a humidity of 63% in the tent. But as I said wihout plants and water etc.

16C is pretty cold and you'll probably see slow growth. It should grow in that humidity but it's outside the VPD range so you can slow growth from that too. You're also at risk for things like powdery mildew, bud rot, and mold. Are you using any equipment to control the conditions?
For light distance, I have to make a video on this because this question comes up often. I'll try to make it simple: 1. Look at the grow light's PAR chart (found on the grow light's listing page) 2. Understand the general PAR ranges for cannabis plants: 200-400 PPFD seedings/clones/mother plants 400-600 PPFD veg 600-900 PPFD flowering 3. Do the monkey math to figure out light distance with the dimmer. For example, if at 12" on the par chart it shows 1000 PPFD in the middle, then a good guess is that the light dimmed down 50% will be half the amount of PAR - so 500 PPFD. Hope that makes sense. You should then be able to make an educated guess on grow light distance using the dimmer. This video might help you understand PAR a bit more:
21 celsius is ok, I would not go any lower. 63 rh is also good . As far as your lighting goes search google play for ppfd meter. I use this app to measure ppfd ( par ) I dont know how accurate it is but it is a good baseline to start with. I use 300-400 ppfd for seedlings, 600 for veg and 900 flower. Hope this helps.
