I would like to amend my used soil and I’m hoping someone can help with the measurements. I have a lot of Dr Earth 4-4-4 & 3-9-4 and was hoping I could use that to amend the soil. I know I’d have to add worm castings and possibly other things as well, I just don’t know what, or at what amount. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thanks

I normally top dress at 1 Tblspn per gallon. I’m not sure if that’s the measurement I should use if I want to reuse my soil or if it should be a larger amount. What would be nice is if I could mix in the nutrients to the used soil, let it cook for a few months, and be good. I’m in the Midwest and will not be growing from late Spring to Summer, so I have 4 months where the soil can cook.
I've never ran Dr. Earth before. What do the instructions say on the box? Usually with dry nutrients that amount is accurate.
I did that for a while, wasn't working out so well. Usually on the second round I have misc deficiency issues and if I went for three I'd be messaging @Mr. Grow It with the usual wtf is going on. I'd get through the second grow but wasn't noticing until Mr grow it brought it up, but looked through past calanders and harvests to see my yeilds were down from fresh soil grow. I don't think it's so much the nutrients, but more the unstable soil that don't hold the nutrients or the ph correctly. I constantly had low ph lock outs, flush and raise it to have same issue the next week. Sorry so long of a reply, I'm not say you can't, but I'm certain it comes with a cost. I've seen guys with living organic soils but never got into those, looked like more work then I wanted to do 😂.
