Hi, (long question sorry) so the recommended temperature & humidity levels are all over the net but I cannot find anything on the best temperatures & humidity when the lights go off, is it the same? Do they need constant humidity even in the dark?
Also, is a constant temperature day & night more beneficial then letting the temp drop at night? example: 25°C 24/7 or do they need that slight drop for rest?
Look up dew point - peeps who try to chase vpd without the correct controls can hit this at night.
Hitting a dew point at night can lead to powder mildew.
Hey, (Longer answer sorry 😁) I'm no expert so take this with a grain of salt and hopefully others will correct me if I'm off base.
It is generally a good idea to have the temperature lower during the dark period. Usually this happens naturally because the lights are off and not generating a few extra degrees of heat. That's usually good enough for a top rate harvest.
But if you have complete control over your environment, a drop of about 15f degrees during the dark cycle I believe is ideal (don't quote me on that). Cooler nights will give you more colorful buds for most genetics.
For the humidity question, I think as long as you stay within the VPD range for your temperature you should be fine. VPD is just a way to make sure your humidity is adequate for the temperature.
Here is a post with a couple examples of VPD charts, I posted the chart I use in this link. It's just a guide, so as long as you are close you will get a harvest.
Have fun!
