3 ft away? Just curious, where did you hear to do that light distance? That's very far. When I was growing with the HLG 100 V2 I had it 12" away from the top of my plant when in flowering.
Edit: How old is the plant? If seedling or early veg then it should be higher than 12"
@Revolutionary Gnosis Interesting. Yeah I usually do 12" away when in flowering. I did a PAR test on that grow light and this may help you determine light distance:
