Hey, I have been using ED as well- when you got it, you should have received some links to some videos- if not I believe they are on the GSC site as well as their YouTube channel- In them, Dan shows using ED in a Tea form for supplemental feedings if plants show deficiencies-
I used a non amended soil, peat/perlite bag mix from garden store.
I always added worm castings to the soil with the base as well as some bio-char. This was more for soil/root health After a few runs I noticed the soil was needing some more aeration for nutrient and water distribution so I added some rice hulls to the soil as well as using hay to mulch. Both really helped keeping soil more hydrated.
As far as added nutrients, I used a product called OptiVeg added once during Veg that had some plant skin strengthener I was after, but that was it. I did half the amount of Boost as a tea at recommended time, then the other half top dressed a couple of days later. Same thing for second feed after a month.
Hope that helps- Not saying that is how it should be done, just how I did it-
Adding in some Recharge https://amzn.to/3DDmWxe would help. Also consider a mulch layer to help keep that top layer moist at all time.
Thank you, this is my first organic run. I will definitely check these products out and look for the videos...much appreciated.
