Long story short, im growing in Coco Coir 70/30 and i think i may have messed up my cation exchange. I know im not supposed to give my plants plain water in Coco but I decided to give my plants a small “flush” before i feed again. My schedule is feed twice and water the 3rd time, on watering days i usually just give them enzymes and calmag.
Today, was a watering day but i decided change it up and add some microbes/ beneficial bacteria (now thinking about it seems pointless in coco but i was thinking more about the roots at the time). The only 3 products i used in my water were Fish Shit by Fish Head Farms (4ml/gal), Azos by Xtreme gardening and some Great white (Mycorrhize). Based off of this, Do you think i possibly ruined my cation exchange with this “feeding”?
She seems fine, ill be giving her some pk boosters next feeding with a half dose of base A&B. previous feeding was a little high (3.0 ec) but there was minimal burn on the tips.
- Bagged coco (Dr MotherEarth 70/30)
- Humboldts Secret Nutrient line + my own addiditves: fish shit, fulpower, Terpinator, mammoth p. No top dresses.
1 watering between feedings in coco won't destroy your crop. Do you have a pic of the plants so we can see how they look? Did you start with bagged coco or brick? What nutrient lineup are you using? Are you also top dressing organic amendments?
To add to this. My previous feeding was 2.0 e.c & 5.8 ph in // 2.0 ec & 5.8 ec runoff. -My runoff after this “watering” still came out to 2.0 e.c and 5.9 ph but the water going in had an e.c of 0.2. Can anybody help me understand what happened? Isnt the E.C supposed to drop?
