So a kiwi friend of mine told me about an older grower he knew who would blend a punnet of kinas into water and add to the plant in the last few weeks of flower.. his reasoning was its an Aphrodisiac. Could this actually help the buds in anyway?

Hypothetically, the fact that it is considered an aphrodisiac would imply it has some degree of hormone or a mix of certain vitamins. How exactly that may or may not alter plant growth would depend on the hormones and specific nutrient values present in the kinas.
Personally I wouldn't put much stock in it but everything is hear-say until it's proven by scientific research.
