Hey guys... im on my 3rd grow...my first 2 I had issues with light burn..so this time I bought a apogee par meter..im jus at the end of week 3 flower..im running a spiderfarm sp4000 light is 20 inches away from the tallest branch and the dimmer was at 80 percent. I was running a par level around 600-700 at canopy level and already some of my hairs are turning brown. Iv lowered the light dimmer to 60 percent 550 par levels now. shouldn't my plants being able to take more light by now? Does par from a led or hid light different? Temps 80-84. Co2 at 1600-1400 ppm.

The first time I was using a super cheap Amazon led and it was only 12 inches away so I figured that's y maybe.. 2nd time it was the spiderfarmer at 18 inches..same light this time at 20 inches and dimmer way down...par meter shows 550 ppfd...which from everything I read is super low...also all 3 times my plants have been kinda light green color...everything else is about the same... The buds on the previous 2 still came out decent but I'm doing this as a hobby and I am really trying to perfect it
This is Mlny third grow..my first 2 hair went brown early as well..i Washer it was because my light were too close...This time it happened with the light at 20"... Can anyone tell me any other problems that would cause hairs turning Brown in week 2-3 ???
Don't sweat the hairs, and as for any yellowing on the leaves, with them getting older you might see a bit of yellow with no real concern. Just keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse or travels higher up the plant.
Thanks I appreciate that...but a lot of my hairs..tops and bottom are turning brown ..any ideas y?
No, thats perfect. You want something pushing the top of the canopy around like that, and you want something lower like you have as well, to prevent any possible micro-climates below your canopy. That looks fine to me. Good Growing.
The plant looks fine. I don't see any light burn. Check your fans as constant wind is likely the culprit for turning the pistils brown as this stage.
