I would be worried about the diatomaceous earth blocking the light from getting to the leaf. If you currently do not have a spider mite problem then I would just use it on top of the soil.
If you are battling spider mites, let us know how the DE works. Always looking for ways to combat those little buggers. Last time they came for a visit I threw out every plant I had then bleached the heck out of everything, I call that the nuclear option.
Was under the impresssion diatomaceous earth kills bugs so if any spider mites try getting in there they get murked lol. I’m still learning I think this is a PH issue my water going in from tap was too high (9.5) bought a new pen today
Hi, that looks more like a PH problem than light burn. Hard to tell without more information on what are you feeding her, soil type, light and light height etc.

I agree doesn't look like light burn,I've had that problem but it was my fault
