This light is large and awkward and I will eventually get a better one for the space, but for now I am racking my brain to get another 7". Any handymen/women have ideas? I need to raise this a bit but the wire is too long and I cant figure out another safe way to do this.
Edit: mainly for the end of flowering. I need to utilize this space a little better.
Stoner ingenuity. Not quite what I wanted, but this works better than I expected. I'll be able to grow this bunch a little taller and I can balance the light intensity more.
All awesome ideas. I'm going to grab a couple of these below or some S hooks. I realized they fit through the holes in the panel if I stretch them just slightly. I'll put a strong strap or wire through and sinch it up.
Hmmm how about pinch the wires together at a lower point and then zip-tie the wires together at that point? You should then be able to clip the light ratchet to that lower point. I would think the zip tie would need to be super tight though so it doesn't just slide up. Maybe something else can be added to secure the zip tie at that lower point. Does that make sense?
Saw a video on how to save space with light hanging cables for my light type and a modified version might get you some space,
https://youtu.be/Id5Cuup5PJ4
try to pass each cable under the other loop, so the left cable will be under the right loop and give it some twists, that should lower the gap to the ceiling ๐ค๐
or get some resistant zip ties and clamp them in an 8 shape on each side, then you can mimic the vid and use the ties as tension for each other๐ช๐ผ
would you be able to wrap the cable from the light above the tent ceiling pole then put the pull cord back on the cable & secure it to a bottom pole on the tent frame. kinda bootleg but may work
