Hi everyone. I'm a new grower. Just a few days with sprouted seedlings.
Here's the setup:
- 2 Durban Poison seedlings in cups, in FF Happy Frog, in a 3x3x6 tent
- Mars Hydro TSW 2000
- oscillating fan, humidifier and heater for environmental control (running a consistent 77-78 degrees, 77-78 humidity)
According to the Mars website, light height for seedlings is 24". No mention of light intensity. It seems that their recommendation when Mars answers on forums they say to use 100% of the light's power, and follow their height recommendations. Is that how this should go?
I would assume the further into life cycle, the power should be adjusted along with that. Further along, the higher the light power.
Anyone use this light that can shed some "light" on this? Should I keep the power at 100% and only adjust the height, or use a more progressive light schedule along with adjusting the height?
Thank you for any insight!
Hey man, I'm running a TSW 2000 in my 4x4x6. For the seedling stage set it to 25% brightness at 24".
Here is the height and light brightness for each stage of the grow that you should use:
Germination: 24"-30", 25% brightness
Seedling Stage: 24", 25% brightness
Veg Stage: 18-24", 50% brightness
Flower Stage: 12"-18", 100%
You can check out my first time grow thread and see what kind of results I've been getting off of that with my autos. Hopefully this helps. Good luck!
Noway hang as high as you can! Set to 25% or lower for seedlings
