I'm going to go 180 here and suggest she may be way over watered. If it was dried out from underwatering I would expect to see more brown. The leaves still look very green and the soil looks very wet.
But like the others, that's just a guess. If you can answer some of @mwhite9829 questions we might be able to get some better answers.
@Cap Stone you could be right, hard to tell without more info. I just factored in the dried up leaves around pot and went with over dry. I had outdoor plants do the same thing last summer when it wouldn't stop raining, horrible outdoor grow season.
I don’t believe so. Come to find out I think he used some Miracle grow he found and it was old. whatever happened I think he knows.

It looks dried out. More history would help more, soil, climate, nutrient/water history and frequency...
Were they transplanted looks like extremely under watered but I'm still new so I could be wrong
