Hi Everyone. Love the community here. I wanted to post my progress with my first grow ever. I am growing both feminized photoperiod White Widow and AK-47.
I am growing in a small 2x2x4 grow tent in my home office.
Equipment:
Mars Hydro 2x2x4 tent
Mars Hydro Ts-600 (trying to eventually move to the 1000)
FFOF soil
No nutrients yet.
Humidity fluctuates between 65-85
Temp is about 72 degrees day time and 62 with lights off. (Can’t seem to get the temp a bit higher due to cooler weather in my area)
Right now I’m on Day 13 since Sprout. I think they look great so far but would love anyone’s input, opinion, and advice.
thinking about transplanting tomorrow. What do you guys think? Tomorrow is start of Week 3. They are going into one gallon pots for about another 2-3 weeks before finishing in 3 Gallons.

Nice job with the LST
Update: Day 30
I have been bending the branches everyday trying to train it a bit and ended up snapping a stem at the joint on my White Widow. Taped it and zip tied for support.
Hoping it Recovers
Decided to finally do some LST and remove some fan leaves.

Look good to me, just keep monitoring it. just give plain ph water next feeding, since your ppm was high, and it should bounce back. And keep them bottom fan leaves from sitting on the soil. As long as you give the right amount of water and nutrients, me personally I just have my ph at 6.2 so I know I not adding to much, and you temp and humidity is right you’ll be fine.. growing is supposed to be fun, don’t overthink it

Day 28:
Transplanted the girls to their final pots. (3 Gallon)
The AK47 seemed to be going through some transplant shock. Learned the hard way to use plastic 1 Gallon pots if I am going to transplant to 3. Removing the plant was tedious and a bitch to do. I think I disturbed some of the roots. Hoping it recovers. Any advice or thoughts?
For White Widow I cut the pot and removed it much easier. Doesn’t appear to have any or much transplant shock .
Also added Cal-Mag to watering. Ppm was super high in 3000s due to new FFOF soil after transplant. PH of water was 6.7 but my run off was barely 6.0. cant seem to get that up closer to 6.5.
AK on Left White Widow on Right
Moved the Fan up from the floor. Found small holes on like three leaves Seemed like beginning of Wind Burn.
either than that I think they are doing well. What do you guys think?
Quick Update Pics:
Coming along great so far! Nice job
Hi, if you are using RO or filtered water I would start adding it now. If not, then start adding it when you start to feed.
After running into a calcium deficiency once in early veg, I now always add CalMag with every nutrient feeding in Veg. I stop feeding CalMag when I switch them to Bloom.
Hi everyone, when do you think it’s ok for me to add CalMag? It’s in FFOF and in the middle of week 3 Just transferred to 1 gal fabrics 3 days ago and topped this morning.
I know no nutes since the soil is still good and will be transferred again in 1.5 weeks to fresh soil again.
@Cap Stone any advice?
Only asking about CalMag for now. I know some give CalMag from early Veg like me but I wanted to see your opinions?
Beautiful plants, nice setup. Can't wait to see where this takes you. I'll be following along
Nice looking plants!
Day 18
Topped both plants down to third node.
They have been doing well since transplanted.
AK-47:
White Widow:
Again take this with a grain of salt, but those roots and root hairs look phenomenal! Looks like you have some real healthy plants there.
UPDATE:
Day 15: Transplanted them over to 1 Gallon pots.
Tested runoff:
AK-47: 735 PPM and 6.0 PH
White Widow: 862 PPM and 6.0 PH
(Next watering I’ll up the PH a bit til get that closer to 6.5.)

Also we have nearly the exact same setups, and I am a few weeks behind you, so I am watching this eagerly.
FWIW I found these, and I see what @Cap Stone was talking about, super helpful.

At 72 degrees for a seedling you are probably ok around 70-75% humidity.
At 72 degrees for Veg you want it a bit lower like in the 60-70% range.
At 72 degrees for Bloom you want it even lower in the 45-55% range.
These are just guide lines so don't stress if you are out side those margins a bit. The most important part is the Bloom stage, high humidity can kill your girls in flower.
Just an FYI - those figures I stated come from a VPD chart.
Looking good! Yeah, I think those girls are ready for transplant. With the roots coming out of the bottom like that I bet you have a really robust and healthy root system. Leave them too much longer and those roots will walk the plant over to the larger pot! 😁
Your humidity seems a bit high, I would be more worried about that than the lower temperature.
And if you tent has a 4 foot ceiling you will want to look into LST to keep those girls short and bushy.
Have fun!
