It is hard to know without being able to see the trichomes. My general rule of thumb though is to let them go a week longer when in doubt. I have had issues with quality and potency harvesting too early but not as many harvesting a little late.
I have troubling seeing my trichomes as well. I have an app on my phone that allows me to adjust magnification. It's called All Tools. Might be able to find a better app, but that's what I would recommend. Wait for some of those trichomes to turn amber and you're in business. Hope my suggestion helps.
Need help is this ready it's hard to see.
