I'm warring with how many plants to start with my first grow. I'd like to start with 4 feminized auto Northern Lights in my 2×4 grow tent using 3 gallon pots and a spider sf 2000. In soil using blue planet nutrients a and b. Is the set up too small for tge number of plants?

3-4 smaller plants. or you can go with 2 plants and veg them a bit longer to get them to medium-sized plants
Hi, I agree with @dgreen2178, you can probably do it, but it will be very crowded.
Since this is your first grow I would suggest you start with just 2 plants. That will give you a lot of room to work around the girls as they grow. After that, you will have a better idea of how many plants you can grow in that space and what to expect.
I'm using a 4×4 with 4 plants in week 5 of flower and it's full I've grown 6 in it and was way to full,I believe you will have a very full tent with 4 plants my friend
