I am trying to set up my first tent. I live in Arizona so I have to deal with heat. I am trying to figure out where and how to direct the vented air. I am hoping to set up in a walk in closet. I have a 2x4 tent. If I can't do it in the closet, that's fine but I'm just looking for ideas on how people are venting their systems. I am considering cutting a hole in the roof and venting into the attic. If I have to move somewhere else I can. I have seen systems that go out the window. I can do that if I move it into the bedroom. I am just concerned about the noise of the fan at night. Any ideas would be great. Thanks in advance.

Got any pics of the setup?
For your venting,, that's your setup. Kinda gotta have a permanent spot for 3 to 4 months...But your fans, you will get use to fans running. You can buy silencers, but it cuts off some of your cfm. So good luck with your venting.
There's an ass ton of stuff out there that will trick you by the pic or the demo they have listed on Amazon and other outlets. I've probably burned through $200 of nonsense, before I figured out what was what.
The one thing that I have learned throughout my journey is not to skimp out on major equipment or accessories .. not in this industry.. you won't be able to get away clean..

Also, for us home growers, AC I developed the "67" controller that is a bit more flexible and applicable than the "T" series that is offered.
Get the S4 motor and the 67 controller instead of the T4 motor and controller. 20 bucks more, but money well spent. I shared this on another post, but short AC article briefly explaining-

You can totally make both work! It's not "better" so much as a wee bit more "flexible"...and, 20 bucks. Just saying.
I learned this after buying my first so I always like to put it out there if there is a chance of helping someone else not repeat an ohshit moment and be cooler than me on your first trip to the Rodeo...
Yeah I 2nd that. Make sure to grab an AC Infinity inline fan. I was a putz and bought a vivosun and it sings like a canary 😐
Chris has demonstrated venting to attic from a closet, but I thought it was a crawlspace opening cover that actually got the hole. As far as the other option you mentioned, yes, that can be done. I am venting to a window from a 2 X 4 right next to it. AC Infinity cloudline 4" on maximum cannot be heard outside. No "whooshing" audible sound, nothing. I did do about a 6-8" buffer box on inside to mock it up a bit, and window is on 2nd storey, but in a high volume walking traffic area. (middle of town, apt. complex) And, I have slept in the room with the tent and fan motor cannot be heard in the room the tent is in running at 3-5 which is where mine usually runs at when on. Again, AC Infinity for the absolute win here.
My 2 cents. Please adjust for inflation.
