Hi growers! :)
Maybe a stupid question but I am a hobby grower without any education, so here it is:
Is it bad to water my plants with "old" water from last year? I grow guerilla style in a forest ad I have a big bucket placed in the ground to catch rain water so I dont have to carry my water from my house each time I want to water my plants. Last year we had a lot of rain so I did not even have to use this water and it stayed there over the winter. I saw a dead mouse and few dead slimes and worms that fell into the bucket and drowned. Can I use this water to water my plants? Can there be some pathogens or diseases that will kill or otherwise negatively affect my plants? There was no airflow in the bucket and the water just sat still. Do I have to take all this water out and wait for new rain to fill the bucket again or am I being oversensitive?
Thank you very much guys. :)
Really appreciate your advice.
Daniel
You can try it. Pathogens are a risk since the water has been sitting but I'm sure many will use that water without hesitation.
