I was just wondering when adding...say Great white to your water before watering, if you're water is at a high pH of like 8.6 to combat low soil pH will this kill the microbes you are watering in from the rapid PH change between the water and soil? And can microbes survive in such high pH water before I give it to my plants? I read they also have a pH range that is sutable for they're survival and production.

Most of them will survive just fine. They actually alter ph themselves through secretion. The weaker ones might die bit majority will be just fine. No, the difference between the soil and water should make no difference. Now if you throw them in like 12 or 4 ph water then leave them there for 12 hours They would probably die.
