TartPops
Slurricane
This is my first time using coco and dry amendments. I know the ph run off is low, could that be all my issues. Tart Pops is growing super slow and the leaves are starting to burn. Slurricane is also showing leaf burn and has slowed down its growth. Do I have a deficiency? This has been a frustrating growing to say the least. Any help is greatly appreciated.
A thin layer of perlite on top of the coco got rid of the gnats for me.
And, they hate the wind.
Yeah I think it may be a pH issue as well. In my experience, the pH in coco will naturally rise throughout the grow so I personally never check the runoff pH. I always just pH the water or nutrient solution to 5.8-6.2 and then give to the plant. I still do monitor the runoff PPM though when growing with bottled nutes; I don't really monitor the PPM when growing organically. How many tbsp per gallon are you using of Earth Dust nutrients? Also, did you only top feed once? In my experience, 3 tbsp per gallon every 20-30 days has been the best so far when using Earth Dust nutrients. I tried 1 and 2 tbsp per gallon previously and ran into deficiencies. Every plant will uptake nutrients differently though. I'm a little surprised it's taking 3-4 days for the medium to dry out since you're in coco. Although, the plants still do look small so maybe it's not drying out as quick due to it's size.
