Growing in FF soil. At week 10 of Veg. Planned on flipping to Flower next week. Plants look pretty good, but still a little yellow/ on light green side.
I just got a new PPM meter and calibrated it (also against 2nd meter and solution) and found out I was at runoff reading of 2100. So I flushed and brought all plants back down to 700-800. Question is should I feed nutrients again in couple days or only distilled with Cal Mag on the next cycle, then nutes after that? At which point it would be the first Flower stage feeding.
Also after flushing, do the plants keep some of the nutes they were just fed and uptake them once the soil is back to proper PPM? Or are all nutes gone?
"Question is should I feed nutrients again in couple days or only distilled with Cal Mag on the next cycle, then nutes after that?" It's really hard to answer this question because we don't know how fast the plant is taking up nutrients. Oftentimes it's a guessing game. Judging by the size of the plant, I would probably give it a light feeding next time around and check the runoff pH and PPM to ensure they're in the ideal ranges. "At which point it would be the first Flower stage feeding?" Switch to flower nutrients when the plants start to flower. "Also after flushing, do the plants keep some of the nutes they were just fed and uptake them once the soil is back to proper PPM? Or are all nutes gone?"
The plant has reserves inside that it uses for growth. Even after flushing, the medium won't be completely inert; there will be a small amount of nutrients in there - until your next feeding of course.
