So with your lights you might have got a par map it would show your light intensity at certain distances from your light. For these plants we want to be a certain distance from the canopy to hit a par range some people use ppfd's(micromoles) to determine their light intensity. All lights are different so never follow a "rule of thumb". Hope this helps.
