I noticed my last harvest after about 2-3 days hanging in a room controlled around 65-70 degrees Fahrenheit and 45-50% rh it smells like a really earthy planty smell and now I'm hanging my second plant and I'm about 2 days in same environment and it's the same is that a normal smell? If I smell the actual plant I smell some dank but not strong like when I cut her down. I wanted to know what to expect for smells during the drying period.

What you explain is normal. Once you get into the curing phase the true smell will come out. After two weeks of curing, enough of the chlorophyll should be broken down for a decent smoke. I personally wait until 30 days into curing before I smoke. Even at that point some chlorophyll is still present and you may taste it. Between 6 months and 1 year when your buds are fully cured and at it's highest potency. After 1 year, the cannabinoids start to degrade.
It should be fine the smells kinda fade for a couple days and then come back after a couple weeks of curing
