Please give me your thoughts. I am assuming that you are familiar with layering plants for propagation, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Layering If I layered a cannabis seedling, leaving the apical tip above the soil, I am assuming that roots would develope on the portion of the stem below the soil. That position being essentially an LST, the lateral shoots would naturally begin to grow and can be positioned normally as an LST. BUT the "extra" roots would be left to to help feed the plant, (I think). The original seedling has never been topped and continues to grow. I have always heard "the bigger the roots, the bigger the buds". This would be two sets of roots feeding one plant. Your thoughts please?

From that wiki page: "At a later stage the connection with the parent plant is severed and a new plant is produced as a result." So you would have multiple plants in the same container all competing for nutrients. I'd say one plant with one root system would be more ideal (depending on the size container you're in) vs multiple plants in the same container. Also, I imagine the separated branches that turn into their own plant will take a long time to root so your main plant will dominate the other branches. Can't really imagine this being beneficial at all? Someone else may chime in with other feedback though.
