@Living Gardening I thought that at first also but I check my tent often and never see any bugs. I’m also using Humboldts flower shield. I also clean my grow tent and room every other week. With all that, you still never know so I’ll keep checking!!! Thank you very much for you help💯💯💪🏽💪🏽
If you are using distilled water you will want to add in some CalMag. Most tap water actually has some beneficial minerals. If you are on city water, you should see if you can find a water quality report, it will tell you the PH and PPM. You might be able to use tap water instead of buying distilled water if the PPM is not too high.
I've started adding in more waterings too since I heard Mr. Grow it mention it. In flower, I found my girls like a PH'd water only feeding every third feeding. So nutes twice, water once is what my girls seem to like. I'm running into less lock-out and burn problems these days.
@Cap Stone I’m going to use tap water this go round and see how it goes. I’ll make sure the ph level is at 6. I decided to get the blue lab ph pen. Gotta make sure that ph is right! thanks for all your help 💪🏽💪🏽💯💯🪴🪴🪴
Cool, I'm in the middle of trimming a Gelato photo period right now, just taking a break.
Yeah, 8 sounds a bit high but could just be your soil tester needs to be recalibrated. I would start by checking the PH of the water you are feeding your girls as well as the PH of the run off water. A PH of 6.5 is the sweet spot but any where between 6-7 is good.
If you are just feeding tap water or tap water+CalMag I'm going to bet your PH is high. If that is the case then what you want to add is 'PH Down' (or vinegar in a pinch). But please make sure that is the issue before trying to adjust the PH or you could do more harm than good.
@Cap Stone I fed my plants nutrients (Humboldts Secret kit) for the first time last Thursday (5/12/21) and the ph was 6.3. I use distilled water. Today (5/16/21) my plants needed water . I ph’d the distilled water with my Vivosun ph tester. (maybe I need to calibrate it) The ph was 6.4. Mr grow it mentioned in a video that he adds nutrients to the water every other feeding. I want to do the same. Should I continue to use distilled water? I figured by using distilled water, I’d lessen my chances of nutrient burn considering I’d add my own (Humboldts Secret) Is that wrong? Please let me know
@camp_ortiz4 Morning Stonerverse! Have you tested the ppm Of your runoff? I ask because I use the ocean forest too and I don’t need to feed until like the 3rd week after your last transplant. i also used black strap molasses for all of my transplant feedings and my ppm has been above 3000 for the last week. I mention this because your plants look younger than mine and if you are regularly feeding already you may be overfeeding. If your ppm is good then I would suggest just watering at 6 ph for the next two and you should drop into the 6-7 range. the more I look at the pictures the more I’m leaning towards nitrogen overdose with how deep green the leaves are. Sorry for rambling it’s early. Lol
@TT I checked the ppm and it was at 520. I’m going to use tap water this go round and see how it goes. I’ll make sure the ph level is at 6. Thank you very much for your help 💪🏽💪🏽💯💯
Hi, looks pretty minor and too early to say for sure. Your plants look like they are still in early veg and the most common causes of spots like that are usually PH issues, too much wind from the fan or not enough CalMag.
If it gets worse let us know what your PH and PPM readings are and more information about the plants, soil and feed would help.
@camp_ortiz4 Get ph up and down by General Hydroponics on Amazon. I usually do .5 ml per .1 ph either way per gallon. So you would basically wanna get your water down to 6 or a little below to reach 7 ph in the soiling if you are at 8. If your water is 7 to start off with you would need approx 2.5 ml of ph down to lower the ph 1.0. Just a benchmark but usually works pretty well for me.
I watered them today. I use distilled water and used my Vivosun ph tester. The ph was 6.4 when I watered my plants. Should I check the ph in my soil before I water?

Looks minor and markings like that typically aren't anything to worry about. It's been about a week; has the plant gotten worse?
Have you looked for any unwelcome guests?/!
You always want to look for any evidence of pests.
After you know it's not bugs then look at a deficiency chart.
If some pests aren't caught in time they can cost you a whole grow.
Hopefully it's a pH issue though.
Good growing
