Just spent 10 hours trimming and putting the buds in jars. The gauges in each of the jars are reading 57-59% humidity. So in went the Boveda humidity packs. Should I still burp the jars while I'm trying to bring the humidity up?

Yes you can still do a burp but you won't really need to keep the top off for long. You may even find the humidity to slowly increase as moisture comes out from the middle of the buds. Then of course the smell will get better over time.
Yes, you still want to burp them. I would open them like twice a day for 5 or 10 minutes each. You can do that for the first week or two and then like once a day after that. You might find it easier if you use bigger yet less number of jars. I use to do the same thing until you realize dealing with 7 big jars is easier than dealing with 15 little ones.
I bought and read his book it says that the cure rate is 60 to 65% best at 62% if it is lower or higher that that take the buds out for 30 mins to an hour then place back in the jar with the meter and burp the jar atleast once a day everyday for 3-6 weeks
personally i have no idea but i sure would like to see that in many places besides my room lol lol like the winning prize for the ring toss ( make sure the rings fit over the jars just slightly lol ) or some other fun game as Carl Spengler called Cannonball time with Tie in Caddie Shack
