hi everyone . i would like to know if after i buffer my coco manually i can let it dry and store it . so that if i decide to use it at a later time i would not have to buffer it again . can i do that or i need to rebuffer it again ?
What if it is taking an age to dry? Did I rinse/buffer wrong because I really tried to be thorough with the shower head + colander combo?
Also, compared to others my plants seem to take far less water which really means they are holding it in the coco instead of roots drinking it up. Does this mean the medium is F'd and need transplant?
(plants look decent but I have seen one or two leaves with marks or burn)
I tested the runoff of a couple yesterday and the ppms were around what I feed (high hundreds) but ph was mid 6's whereas I of course usually feed lower (~5.9) but I don't know if this means I have an issue or not.
Apologies if you have to repeat this stuff constantly. I do watch your videos a lot and read the articles but it is a lot of info (often conflicting between "experts" to take in and hard to decipher which suits your particular situation.
@darcyraejoff Try pointing a fan at it for it to dry. You'll have to move the coco around over time as the top layer dries out.
Ignore runoff pH when growing in coco. 5.8 pH going in and that's it.I would need more info about your plants and seeing them to answer your other questions.
Coco and soil both I've tried storing and they end up with mold or pests. If dry I'm sure you could store in an air tight container a short while. Personally I wouldn't store long term.
Yes you can store it and use it later. No need to buffer again.
thanks good info
