Yesterday was the start of a heat wave and it almost killed my plants. The temp inside the tent got up to 90 for over an hour before I could get it under 85. Today is supposed to be more of the same and the. It gets worse for the next 3 days after that. I reduced my fan speed to minimal and cranked my AC down as low as possiblE.
what options do I have to save all my hard work?
i could maybe squeeze another small ac in there, just not sure if it will help with all that heat.
I could move just the plants into a cooler part of my house whenever temp gets over 85. But will that mess up my light cycle (autoflower)?
i could turn the lights down or off when it gets critical?
last resort would be to move the plants outdoors, but I assume that would shock and kill them too???
please make any suggestion, I am pretty stressed about losing my plants
Well said my man.
Very effective but you will need to find away to exhaust out of the house.i predict you plants will become very pungent and will make it's way downstairs.when I open my tent you can smell dank through out the majority of the house
I'm not sure where your grow tent is located in your home, but have you tried cooling the air outside of the grow tent so it would then be passively brought in instead of cooling the air inside the grow tent? For example right now you're bringing hot air into the grow tent and then trying to cool that air via AC. Instead, cool the air in the room the grow tent is in, so the air coming into the grow tent is the proper temperature. Hopefully that makes sense. Also, how is your ventilation system set up? Are you running a carbon filter inside your tent or outside? Are you exhausting the air out of the room or keeping it in the room?
My tent has gotten up to 92 a couple of times and no real damage.
Finn it ain't pretty but this is what I had to do.
