I just thought I would share this and invite any comments. I found the tiniest seed in a package of Honey Bananas flower I purchased from my State dispensary as a Medical Marijuana patient. Never having gotten a seed before, I decided to plant it. After the germination process it went into soil and after a few days I was about to call it a failed experiment. Then I saw the small growth beginning. After another week, it had seemed to stall out and again I thought about ending it but didn't have the heart. Another few days passed and it seemed to actually begin to grow. Well, that was the true beginning of this remarkable plant. It has taken off and is now the healthiest plant I have. The pictures show the eleven finger top leaves and it looks like it is trying for 13. I have to raise the light as the top leaves are beginning to canoe and don't know what it will yield but it will be fun to watch this plant that could. Now my questions.....1) A seed from a female plant.. Can't this plant be either male or female? (I would think so) 2) If it is male, could I grow it separately from the others to get seeds to plant to look for a female in order to keep the strain

? Comments?

It could be male, but since you found only one seed in a bud from a dispensary I would suspect it came from a female plant that hermied. If that is the case then it will probably be a female with slight chance it will go hermie.
Most of my photo periods come from seeds found in dispensary buds and I have never had a male or a hermie (call me lucky). The one and only hermie I ever ran into was from a feminized seed bought from a reputable seed company.
Great looking plant! I hope it works out for you, just keep an eye out for nanners and pollen sacks.
