So I have an argument to make if you top a plant it grows 2 more tops right? But there's 3 tops there already so if u top 1 of them your left with 2 that would've grown anyway if you did LST,so your actually cheating yourself out a top.Sure if ur trying to slow the plant down to let other tops catch up it makes sense KIND OF ,but honestly this in my opinion is why LST will almost always produce MORE JS.

Yup, topping can slow down growth a bit, but it helps promote growth of the lower branches. For example, if you top at the 5th node, the 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st nodes branches will grow. You could just bend the plant down to do LST but IME some genetics will struggle when it comes to lateral branch development. I have a few plants going right now where I only did LST and I wish I topped instead because even with the bending, the lower branches aren't growing as much as i'd like them to.
