Hello all. It's been exactly one month since i dropped my seeds in water. My little girls are in one gallon pots now, and have been topped once. They now have side shoots branching out, and I'm thinking about topping those, too. Should i wait until the 4th node on side shoots before topping them, same as the main? Also, sometimes my plants get really dark green, and i mean dark. Almost bluish - green. But other than that, they seem to be fine. Is this normal, or should i be concerned?
so, i have a 3 gallon spray can that i use to water, and honestly, i've been using it since they were planted and that's been one month. only used about a gallon and a half of it. i could be wrong, but i can't imagine how they could be over - watered. one month, used approx one and a half gallons of water... i did pour it out today, as a matter of fact, just to get new water in it, ph it, and cal mag in it, idk.
can't really tell by the pics, but if the leaves are heavily textured and bluish green, then they are just like the last one i grew that was over watered ,,,, i stunted the crap out of it ,,,
That’s what I was afraid of, but when I looked into it, the examples that I saw had ”The Claw” effect. Mine haven’t done that, so I wasn’t sure. I guess it’s a case of ‘too much attention ‘ from me. Lol. I’ll back off. Thanks for the input, have a great day.
When leaves get blue green and waxy, it’s a sign of N2 toxicity. Can’t tell about waxiness from the photo, but the color is consistent with that situation. BTW, I top after the third node….no issues.
The idea with veg is to create a full and even canopy at the same height before going to flower. Pinching the top branches allows the side ones to get taller and catch up. Topping the side branches eliminates that effect. Of course with creative training, there are many ways to get to that full, even canopy.
