Hi Mr G
I love your YT and IG, I've found it helped educational and helpful.
I was wondering you could pls assist me with water and nutrients. I'm dyslexic so putting this project together has been very difficult but I'm finally close to growing my first crop.
My current tap water reads at 300PPM and I was just wondering if that's decent or not. Also I've bought some calmag, bio veg and bio bloom, I was wondering if you could help me learn when theyre need and how much.
Thanks and the best,
Fela
300 PPM for seedlings should be fine. I suggest you check to see if your tap water has chlorine or chloramine in it. If it only has chlorine in it then you can let it sit out for about 24 hours and the chlorine will dissipate. If it has chloramine then I suggest you get a filter since that kills the microorganisms in the soil. What size grow pots are they in? What soil are you using? Got any pics?
Just some advice, when using bottled nutrients, its usually custom to only do 1/2 dosage or even 1/3 dosage. Full strength is often very hot for the plant and is a quicker way for the manufacturer to get you to go through more than you need.
I too am new to growing but from what Ive learned so far 300ppm from the tap is fine anything higher who knows what's in the water. I don't think cal mag is necessary unless it shows signs of deficiency or you're using stripped RO water like me. Then as far as the nutrient line I would say go by the recommended feeding chart on the manufacture website.
